Learn the identity, age, and how to care for your treasures. Two sessions on Saturday, February 7, 2009, 11-1 or 2-4. 7th~ La Conner Soundrowers Open Water Race is being hosted by the Sound Rowers Open Water Rowing & Paddling Club. Soundrowers sponsor races for kayaks, surf skis, rowing shells, row boats and canoes throughout Puget Sound. 20th~Skagit Community Band presents "Way Out West" at Maple Hall on February 20th, 7:30 pm. Come explore the music of the "West". The Skagit Community Band will intrigue and delight you with songs of the west. 28th~ La Conner Rotary Club 43rd Annual Smelt Derby has a day filled with fun family events. Pancake breakfast to benefit the La Conner High School Senior Class begins at 800 am at Maple Hall. The 5k-10k Smelt Run/Walk sponsored by Skagit Symphony begins at the La Conner Middle School registration is at 8:30am Day ends at maple hall witht eh Smelt Fest Dinner (no smelt just good food!) from 5:00pm-9:00pm.
